Jasper My Rescue :)

Well on the 17th of Jan i picked up this lil chap from a tank of barbs, he just sat on the bottom looking very sad, as I peered in he moved forward and sat staring at me so home he came. Wasn't until I got him home I saw the amount of damage to his fins, his Dorsal was practically none existent big split in his tail and very tatty anal fin

He was generally happier straight away despite being in a breeder trap within my betta juvi tank *which he loved!* a lovely bubble nest next morning

anyway here is Jasper now just a few weeks later

He nests most days and is rather taken with 1 of the females as she is him

He is moving into my divided tank this week

He gave me those big sad eyes! no way I was leaving without him and he knew it didn't really have the space for him either but needs must

I'm always rescuing them my last had NO fins! he was in a tank with clawed shrimp another Red VT

Such a beautiful fish

Pretty much the same story with mine.
There were 4 to choose from 2 red and 2 blue VT
I wanted blue since i already had too many red fish.
One had amazing finage, the other pretty much had none, though both were very inactive.
Though the one with less finage had a great shimmer to his scales, so i chose him, but what also made me choose him was the fact he came right up to me wagging his tail and peeringat me with those betta eyes.
He was with neons. ANd after a few weeks he had all his finage back

Grows quick doesn't it! i was in there 2 weeks before and he was there then along with 5 or so others when i went back he was the only 1

Exactly! its very rare meds are needed

Yep
I feed him a mix of granuales, bloodworms, algea wafers and brine shrimp
Which also help
