hi all,
just wonderd if anyone knws anythign about the jaguar catfish, mainly it's temperament, size it will grow to and maybe what it might be best to swim with etc?

saw one today for £15 at around 3 inches, very nice fish, but it just has that look that it is gonna grow ata massive rate, tell me i am wrong!!, i might fancy if it is fairly mellow and doesnt get too large

Liosomadoras oncinus is a fairly slow growing fish which reaches around 10 inches full grown. They are heavily nocturnal and for the most part peacefull but they will defend a cave which they call home and may eat small fish such as tetras, guppies etc. They become more active when kept in a group so if possible buy 3 or more but they can also be kept singularly without any obvious problems.
