Well everything is transfered apart from the live stock and I cant beleive I've got algea and waste all over my new live sand, can anyone tell me if this is normal, does it look like i need to cycle it before i put the live stock in

You only have some live rock rubble from the other tank and sand don't you? Rubble is already cycled so its probably flow thats the problem and maybe the water you transfered from the other tank had high nitrates?
