Jack's Marine Adventure!

think it is just for those that you buy over the internet, the polyps are closed when you get them. They seem to like to stay put for a few days before they reward you with polyps. I noticed this when I bought mine.

If the GSP stays closed, in addition to flow, make sure you check your salinity. GSP respond poorly to high salinity

Not quite , they always stay closed for a while when put in a new tank.Quite normal :)

im at 1.025 that should be okay?

Yes :good:

Truck, you seem a bit light on LR there for 15kg.

I started marine with a rio125 and 20kg of rock looked like this in it

Maybe its just the angle of your piccys? Hope you didn't get short changed.

Johnny

Well, if he was anything like me, he'll have weighed it out of the box as he went  The rock may just be not that porous, but it looks fine to me

I like that scape. The Goby and Shrimp look happy

All the best
Rabbut

yeah i'd agree with johnny, think you could do with some more rock in there to fill it out a bit
you've gotta love GSP, in the right conditions they should spread pretty quick and create a nice matt of colour.
They're also really easy to frag and move around/sell

The first few weeks after the phosphate remover incident, I counted daily and each day one or two more would open, by the time I counted 24, it just started to open fully so you may have a week or so till it opens fully.

Did not know that Johnny, they were the only ones besides zoas I bought off the internet and have not had any other problems with polyps not opening, presumed the delay (apart from phosphate remover incident) was due to the fact it was purchased over the internet.

I had 6 heads open last night, i will see what today brings.

my aunty has said i can paint the front of her house (i dont know why  ) for £10 :D and that will be going towards my next fish(s). if i have the money i will probably go with the clowns.

also were going to uttoxeter race course for some horse racing today, and im going to put a pound on the top five horses and see where that gets me

im really stuck as to my next fish choice, what are peoples opinions on mixing a royal gramma with a purple firefish? im guessing it wont work.
i will probably end up coming back with a red firefish or a banggai cardinal

£10 to paint the front of her house, she knows how to drive a hard bargain - wish you lived near me, you could paint mine too :good: It costs me ten quid just to get my car washed and hoovered  me thinks she is being a bit cheeky :shout:
