I've Got Babies!

Today I woke up with new babies. At first I thought I could only find four but those little buggers can hide! I found three more and later when I was rinsing the filter I saw one more go over the spillway and into the tank so I have EIGHT! I am pretty sure they are dalmation fry. I know I posted earlier that I was worried about releasing fry back into the big tank too early, but with these new ones I decided to let the older fry out. I thought it would be too crowded in the breeder trap. And besides they are a month old and bigger than the biggest adult mouth in the tank so cross-my-fingers that they won't get eaten! I think if they keep this up we are going to have to get another tank to seperate the male away from the females.

congrats on the new fry, think your only problem could be the betta, but other than that with plenty of hiding places they should be fine

I made that mistake fry were about a month old & as big as the neons in my tank let them out & Tong-Ting (Beta) had a meat day ate 1 of the 2 fry & a neon who he'd lived with for a year!!! have a crazy dalmation molly who keeps chucking out fry despite being the only molly around so have another 4 little fry in the breeder trap. The other fry from first batch is growing well so I guess some u win some u loose

Congrats. and good luck with the fry. My guppie just had 9 fry that after 3 days i finally found.
