Well I said in my previous post that I couldn't resist picking up some new quality discus from my lfs....I decided to go wild, wild brown discus to be exact! :)
The good thing about having a tank full of discus already is that they aren't shy with numbers!
Eating and swimming out in the open already!

wilds do look so much better in my opinion and a large group would look awesome.....

tempted to sell the others and do it yet? :hey:

nicee fish , they look to be good and healthy , but caution should be exercised with wild discus . in the vast majority of cases they come in with parasite issues . how long had they had these fish in? what sort of quarentine/cleanup procedure were they put through? those fish do look to be nice healthy specemins as ive said , but just be extra vigilant with them for a while :good:

Oh lord .... I've only had them for a few days in my big tank and thinking wilds non stop! They are amazing fish especially when you see them side by side next to a turq! Don't worry Mark they have been in quarantine for a month by the breeder, brought to the lfs where they were dewormed(treated) and quarantine for another 2 weeks for observation! Had to pick it up from another breeder since my lfs hasn't got the wilds in yet! Though it's pretty funny how I get calls from the lfs daily seeing how they are doing in my tank! :) good bunch of guys! They seem to get along well with my daily 30 percent water changes too!

yep that quarentine/deworming sounds as if these boys have been handled properly . great stuff :good: i much prefer wilds they have much better shape . enjoy your new beauties :good: do you plan on swapping the domestics so youve got a group of just wilds?

I'm thinking about it!!! But I'm somewhat attached to some of my domestics too!!! Ah only time will tell! :)

lol watch this space. il give it 2 months tops beforw we see more wilds

tey are lovely mate I;d love some wilds to go with mine

OMG, I love the black stripe! You need more. ;)

No keep your other fish let them grow out. It's fun to watch the domestic grow they change so much. Wilds are great and I will some day turn my 100gal into a wild tefe green tank. But not till my other fish die off so that could be 5+ years. Then I can save up for it I would want an RO system. Do you have a full tank shot? The new guys look great.

I gave a way my ghost discus last night and Found a home for my angels. My new discus from Hans will be here Wed. I can't wait.

I don't see the appeal, i think the man made strains look a lot nicer.

Those are still young. The adult wilds in person are amazing they have color and contrasts like no others.
