I've Found Heaven On Earth

well the board seems very split on this! look forward to proof :good:

You don't have to give the location, simply post pics of the pond/spring, posting pics of the pond/spring won't reveal its location if people have no idea where to look for it etc.

Either way though, this sounds completely posible to me, although depending on which fish were dumped in the pond and when and in what numbers, a lot of fish could be quite inbred (i wouldn't be suprised if the guppys were if no new ones had been added to the pond over the last year).

any pics yet, i dont have alot of patience but im making exceptions 4 this

I'm going to say....I can't wait to see the pictures. I have heard of places like this existing, but I can only say I dream of places like this. I wish it were near place...I'd there every day, just watching. :) It'd be like my own private fish tank. LOL

well i believe it for sure. anything is possible. is it anywhere in connecticut. im in greenwich.
nice lab and cant wait to see some pics :good:

You shouldn't get fish out of a lake and take them home unless you know how to care for them.

Who says I dont know how to take care of him... well they are right!! I don't know his exact species either... He is doing just fine with my other fish and eating great, I measured the parameters of the water that he was in and they match my tap water, so I decided to go for it. How do you think people cared for new species of fish to find out if they were suitable for the aquarium... hmmm. They probably did the same thing I did, studied them in their habitat then gave caring for them a shot. I think you are just jealous though... :hyper: (By the way I am talking of the little guy I linked in the forum, not the lab)

And to everyone else, I am sorry to say that I had to postpone the trip till Sunday, I hope this doesn't destroy the faith in this awesome place, but I just got off work, even though I wasn't suppossed to work after 1:00, if I would have gone I would have gotten home around midnight. So I am sorry. Keep the faith. Sunday for sure, I will do it just for you guys, well... and I can't WAIT to get back there. And thanks for being patient toppman, I promise there will be pics coming. I should have started the post after I got pics but oh well, its been fun to see the controversy.

Thats fine that you are skeptic. Just keep watching the post. Heck people!!! Is it really that hard to believe that I can't freaking drive two hours away at the drop of a hat!!! Give me a chance to get out there again, and just trust me, I PROMISE I WILL GET THE PICS!!!!

I understand that stuff happens in life. I agree it might've been best to wait until you got pics ot varify. But excitement osmetiems takes the best of all of us.

If you say Sunday so be it. I knwo one thing for sure, you can always PM me the pics if this thread dissapears. I would LOVE to see it whenever you get the chance however long that may be!

As for the fish, I'm glad you took it home... has anyone ID'd it yet..? Can you imagine if it was a new breed, never kept by fish keepers before? HOLY MOLY! lol ! go get a new Tank and a few more! let em BREED! hahahaha! but on a more serious note.... I would imagine it will probably be much like any other South American Cichlid... anyway, good luck! and If for some CRAZY reason it is a very rare or non existant breed.... I'll buy one !!! hahahaha!

can't wait for the pictures!
