haha well try being me, I finally get the plumbing bits to sort out to get rock this weekend coming, and now1 cant figure out how to put it together lol and 2 some nob hacked my xbox account and spent the money I had for my LR! I wont be getting rock for a few weeks later than planned now!

yikes that aint good. first playstation and now xbox? did they spend a lot?
are you getting the money back?

ps. my tank needs more rock to distract me from them horrible diatoms

over £100. The guy I spoke to said £85 that he could see but there was other bits still going through! It is going to an investigations team before they can refund it! aroud 30 days I have to wait!

I wish I had diatoms haha! At least it meant I had water and stuff in my tank haha!

I soooooo want a salty tank. That's what I always wanted but was told it's too hard for newbies like me. The fish are just stunning. I go to Maidenhead Aquatics sometimes just to look at the marine fish. OMG they are all sizes shapes and stunning colours. I love all the rock and stuff. I'd love to gradually learn about it for future though. How hard is it? What different equipment is needed?

Nothing like as hard as people think.. setting up is fairly easy and then you can do your learning as you go aslong as you know the basics to start with. Check out the journal section at the top of the forum. You will see how people have started from scratch and how there journey progressed

I kept marine straight off with no fresh water background. I've been fine! I find marine is a bit of a myth about being hard! just do it!!

I practically jumped in at the deep end with regards to marine. I was given a marine tank that was well established but in dire need of TLC.
I had no choice but to immediatley swat up and tbh I was quite suprised just how EASY setting up and maintaining a marine tank is!

Like seffie say's don't be afraid to dip your feet in salt water!...Were all here to help and guide you through it if you like!

As for rough prices, it depends on what size/type setup you'd like as equipment varies!

The 3 systems are: Fish only [FO], Fish only with live rock [FOWLR], Or REEF [Loads of lovely coral]
