OMG    ...and many cold wet hours in the garage cleaning the thing....followed by much swearing and squished fingers to get it into the house...then came the endless gravel / sand washing and a bath tub filled with bogwood..... :-( ...so then we play the no water where shall we put the bog wood game for a few hours then desperatly try to remember where any of the miles of pipework went to - came from - and hell its leaking through that pipe joint  ....and then many hours later came the sand - gravel and wood and EVENTUALLY water......cross fingers (and toes ) switch on and BINGO...........

thats a credit card in the middle at the bottom of the glass to give you some idea of scale...so now I can think about plants and daydream about fish :D :D :D any suggestions

the scary thing is it was just as bad inside and there were 2 discus living (that should say existing - it was no kind of life :( ) in there immediatly before I got it......

looks great! My 90 gallon I bought is sitting looking pretty dirty right now. I tried bleach, and it still has these cloudy marks on the glass. My questions are what did you clean yours with to make it look so nice? How big is it? What are you putting in it?

to give scale to the pics thats a credit card on the front edge of the actual tank in the 2nd pic its 48" long 24" tall and 26-28" wide takes about 130 galls its got an Enhiem external filter a UV filter and these....

...it was built as a marine tank origionally but as I said had Discus in it just before I got it.

Cleaning it .....lots and lots and lots of warm soapy water loads of elbow grease and plastic scouring pads and washing up brushes...and then rinse it about a million times then a few more for good luck....it took many hours to do as all the pipework and filters were disgusting and had to be totally stripped down....I recomend a babies bottle brush and a soak in a nice hot bath for pipe work  and it smells GROSS

Tha last used tank I set up had a cloudy appearance to the glass. Once the water was in, you couldn't see it.

its amazing what vanishes this has a big scratch on it not that deep but long....you can see it here

but its almost vanished when the tanks full of water :D its scratched inside mind you so I think that makes a difference...
