Wheeee! One of my favorite months as it means I get to see more of my family, and every thing just seems more cheery than usual.

I thought it might be nice to see other people's trees/decorations, if anyone feels like sharing

I'll get some pics of ours later today.

So it's not just cluttered with pics, maybe we can say what our favorite parts of December are?

I like making Christmas cookies with my cousins and grandma. :)

Previously it's been the run of two bank holiday periods a week apart giving me a break.

Now it's the look on my daughter's face when she see's Christmas things for the first time.

For me I love the heat and lack of rain. The cheer and joy is a nice way to welcome summer to the land. Currently 33 degrees. B-)

Best parts of December, my Birthday, my nephew's Birthday

Oh, and Christmas!

Christmas tree with twinkling lights and decor makes the flat look cheerful and more welcoming

Only thing missing is a roaring log fire, alas, we only have central heating!

Roaring fire is a given in this place, but this house is old. Built in 1756, so fireplaces all over the place. We have 3 active wood burners now, hopefully 4 once the renovation is finished.

It's currently 7pm here and we just finished lighting the whole house. It literally feels like christmas here now.

Yes, that is a life-sized manger lol

Interiors are to be done by next week, hopefully.

Wahaha a signature that is fitting for december right? :D

Some very sweet & beautiful responses so far ^.^

TF did it take you most of the day to do that? I wish more houses around here would do something similar.
Not that we do anything big but when we lived in Florida you could go around the neighborhoods and see lots of awesome houses. It was really fun

Our tree, kitchen lights on & then off.

Our motion activated singing Santa. This guy can be a little creepy at night sometimes, and he definitely scares my dog

It actually took two weeks in total. They had to put lights on the roof deck as well
