It's a Plec not a Cory

Here's a bristlenose, I found this in a FOTM poll and it belongs to Limping Fish. I believe they stay around 5 inches, but someone correct me if that's wrong :p

I dont think its worth it, this lady is a real *stiff* she said "its bad to read to many books" when i said i hadnt i'd been on here, she said i was wasting my time, that experience was the best advice i could get. By this time i'd given up trying to explain that on here is a wealth of experience as opposed to just her

Thanks though

Mine looks like the one in the first page of this thread, thanks for the pic, i'll enquire at pets at home, which is better the plec or the 3 cories

choices choices

What else is in the tank? If it's not really full you could get a little bristlenose and 3 cories.

Panda sorry m8 but id contact fair trading standards she has sold u a fish that was incorrect she is in the wrong not you.

panda another option is Pets at home arnt going to give you money for the fish ask them about credit or swopping it for some proper coryies?

hey m8 why not name and shame the shop u bought the fake cory from then print it out with all the coments here and post it on a sunday when there not in ............. just to let them know ther out of order

if u went in to a shop and ordered a 50" screen tv ( wow thats big )
and they said here's one. You take the big parcel home with you open it...........and oomg its micro wave oven u'd be strait round there and either ask for what u bought or ur money back.

same applies here Panda.

your very right strontium, i would have told that lady she could put the plec where the sun dont shine, and let her know i was calling her corporate manager to explain what she did. I hate employees who know nothing about fish, yet try to act like they know everyhting and they are the only ones that are right.

It's surprising how much lfs DON'T know!! One of mine sold me a gourami instead of a dwarf flag.. It annoyed me, but I like my gourami.
Neither petstores, one is a chain - very flash - know anything. They have their "fish experts" which know less about fish than I do. Most of which I've learnt on here and from reading endless info on the net.
I ask them questions which I need an answer to and just get "I don't know". I come on here and 6 people answer it for me. They don't even know how to sex platties for gods sake. I mean. It's pretty simple. I went for a job at both pet stores and neither accepted me, which broke my heart. If I went their, I'd be their star fish person, I could answer everyone's questions.
It sucks that you have to have something in paper to say you can do the job when the majority on this forum would know more than anyone with a piece of paper.
Well, that's my opinion on lfs's. They're great, but there's a lot they don't know.

I've been reading all this with interest as I've got a plec but have already agreed with LFS that I can return him when he gets a bit too big.
Sounds easy I'll be a wreck when it come to the crunch
I have got three cory's though :) and can recommend Corydoras juli

I 've got a nice pic but don't know how to include it in the post cos I'm only a beginner :dunno:

My partner asked why,

she said "its bad to read to many books"

and she said, that sometimes you just have to go with what you think is right, and being too overcautious can be dangerous, like putting things (hands, nets etc) in the water can cause contamination. she then followed this by feeling the side of tank and saying that she could tell the temperature just by feeling the glass.

and after about 6 months i will know enough to be a sucessful fishkeeper
