Just to clarify, the manufacturers genetically modify the fish with the jellyfish gene. Once that modification is there, they breed the fish just like any other zebra danio or skirt tetra.
Not to my taste either, IMO nature is beautiful enough as it is, but each to their own.
And MoF is right, that they should shoal in 6s, just like any other tetra.
