Ok so mysteriously my snails died when teh water is fine and such after testing. Really odd. I know the one snail was getting very old and soon to die but my new one died too a bit after. Find it odd since last time i got a snail it died too and the other one was fine all this time. Anyways guess it was afate and since I have plants works out nthe end since the one snal had a very long and hapy life i guess lol.

Anyways I have a 3 gallon with a betta. What type of fish or algae eater/bottom feader type thing can I put in with a betta that wont get harassed by the betta or harrass the betta?

I might take out the fake rock formation and break a planter in half so that there is more room in teh tank if need be.

Nothing in a tank that size. You could maybe get an ADF or two, or some shrimp, but no other fish. There is no room.

african dwarf frog ( i think -_- )
Thanks.

I was thinking that but still learning my fishy acronyms lol.

If I can get the demensions of teh 6 gallon eclipse and if it will fit on my book case i might upgrade to that.

If i had a 6 gallon think i could have a betta and a couple cories and a shrimp or something.

Want stuff that is hardy.

Think my system is doing ok. Got rid of teh biowheel and put in filter floss and some aquarium spongs along with some live plants and seems like the beta is happy.

Anywazys depends if teh 6 gallon measurements will fit on the book case.

Ok so i bought some flourite fro my substrate and thinking of doing a half and half but the flourite gravel looks pretty nice.

I also bought the eclipse 6 and will get rid of the eclipse 3 or use it as a nano(if that is teh right term lol) reef tank.

Will have more space now and will add a coupe of things.

So teh question is what can i add now to a 6 gallon freshwater tank with a betta that is very moody. lol . even when i walk by the tank he flares. think he is getting mad because i keep upgrading the aquarium.

So right now on my list is an adf, cories and shrimp.

is there freshwater shrimp?

is a pistol shrimp freshwater lol and do you think he would annoy the hell out of te betta haha.

is their anything else I might look at ?

Definetly going to get a cory.

Its only a 6 gallon though. thought it was a fish per gallon or an inch of fish per gallon.

how big do cories get?

maybe i can do 3 cories one ghost shrimp and a betta.

This one inch per gallon rule is over-rated. It's only one inch over the limit. If you keep up with water changes, it will be fine. Cories prefer to live in large schools, 3 is hardly an adequate school. 4 is better than 3, though. My suggestion for stocking the tank, can be done easily. One inch over this so called 'rule' won't kill all your fish.

you could get pigmy cories
i keep some with my betta in a 5 gallon tank, though a 3 gallon would be perfect, they get to like 0.75-1 inch only. They can be hard to find though!

Thats sounds good.

4 pgymy cories, my betta and a shrimp would be cool.

How many cories do you have in your 5 gallon with your beta?
