Is There A dieses that only females can get?

I had 3 guppies and 6 fry...2 of my guppies were female. one had just had fry.. a few days later the guppy who just had the fry died and then the other female guppy died the same day but the male is prefectly fine and the fry?

No there isnt a disease that only females can get maybe its just your water condition or maybe the female that give birth can often die and the other female may not of been healthy in the first place.

No there isn't a female related disease. However it could be possible (highly unlikely) that your female got infected with something while giving birth. However like I said this is probably highly unlikely and it probably is just coinsidence
 
I've had the same experience with guppy moms. Was she new to your tank and is the tank cycled? This happened to me when I purchased a gravid guppy, I think the stress of moving her from the LFS to my tank was too great.
 
ive noticed that guppies ,mostly, have a high rate of postpartum death, i dont know why just sometimes they "heal" and are back to health ,other times they just never recover and finnally die. i wonder what cuases it though. i is there like something we are all doing wrong it must be something we all do in common, or its just a natural occurence who knows.

Yes the only thing that also came to mind was that she could have suffered birthing problems :sad:
