this is the bigger fish out the 3 that i think are preg shes got a fair size in front of i know its hard to tell if she is in the pics but the cow kept moving gave up after half hour and these was the only pics i could get and i dont want to empty all my rock out just to catch her and possibly stress her out for a couple of quick pics if she is preg

If she's been in with a male, then yes she will be pregnant, how far along is hard to tell from the pics., but at a guess I'd say at least a couple of weeks to go
If you can get a side view, then Old man who is the expert on livebearers would be able to give a better assessment

I'll try and get a side pic but she moves every time I take the pic hence why some of the pics are distorted a bit. And yea I've got males in my tank

If you have males in your tank, it is almost certain that a female is carrying fry. All we can really do is help you estimate the time for that next drop.

Tried to get a few more lucky for me they thought it was feeding time so they all come up to glass here's the better pics I could get

Sorry there not the best of pics but little buggers thought it was feeding time again and was getting a bit excited lol

Not all that expert Cazgar, just more experienced than some other folks.

Experience = expert, you have years of experience keeping livebearers, which qualifies as an expert imo
I only give advice on the species I keep, & that is limited, but if I can help I will

photo bucket screwing up heres the best pics i could get of my fish that i think are up the duff lol,

i can always get more pics if needed buthopfully these should be enough and be most grateful for all your advice guys and girls

The first series has a female that is a week or two from a drop. The set with one sitting on some decor is getting fairly close to a drop.

Short vid of my fish that I'm guessing is preg

That female may well be carrying fry but she is not very close to a drop yet.

Note: Sometimes I slip but I try to never say pregnant with common livebearers. The females of poeciliids, the most common type of livebearers, are more like vessels carrying fertilized eggs than like mammals that are expecting. They provide almost nothing but a sheltered place for the coming batch of fry to develop from eggs to tiny fry. There are livebearers that provide more like we think of as nourishment and such to fry but they are far from common. They happen to be my main focus among the livebearers and are generally grouped together under the heading of goodeids. I have many goodeid species in various tanks and you can even see the evidence of maternal nourishment by inspecting newly dropped fry. They exhibit trophotaeniae, which look more or less like an umbilicus, in newborn fry.

Saying that I gave my tank a clear out the other day and I found a newborn fry that was hiding between the rocks in my tank and I spotted it again last night so I'm guessing it's the only one that survived but I'll always take advice as it will help me learn and care for my fish
