Is It Ok To Cycle With 3 Platies

hi i have just had a new 39ukgal tank, i was hoping to have a range of different color platies init.
if i did cycle with 3 platies and some of my other filter media out of my other cycled tank, would it be ok to keep the platies after the cycle is complete?

Oh, it would be perfectly fine to cycle with them and leave them when it's done. Platies are the way I have cycled all of my tanks.

thanks qwikimpss, should i ad more platies or is 3 enough?
when should i add them?

and could i add plants at the same time?



or should i add everything gravel filter heater ect, wait a week then add the platies?

We cycled ours with old filter media and 2plattys, and 4 danios. (55gallon) Seemed to have worked well, no losses, and no signs of stress in the fish. Best of luck to you!

ok thnx did you platies have any fry whilst they were in the tank? when it was cycling

i think it mwould have been a bit stressful for them to breed whilst the tanks still cycling
