I constantly look at pics of other people's tanks in admiration and always have a good idea of a basic look for my tank. Yet when it comes to actually putting things in and arranging things I can never ever get it a way I'm happy with.

I just always draw a blank, and no matter how many plants I have or ornaments, wood etc I just can't decide where to put things and no matter where I put them I aren't happy.

Am I the only one?

Far from it!

ive must have spent over 120 on ornaments, 90 on fake plants, god knows on live plants, got rocks, bogwood and i have something like 4 fake plants half an ornament in my 260l tank and i still cant say oh yeah thats nice, i changed it literally a week to the day after a huge clean out...... thursday the next week, changed again never satisfied!

So I too feel your plight!

I seem to have gotten my 40 gallon the way I like it. I haven't gotten all of the ornaments, or plants yet. But I love the way it is looking so far!

I do this, always changing my Betta tank around because he doesn't mind it, if fact think he enjoys it, swims round my hand.

I think my trouble is, I don't leave it long enough to start growing.

This time I am really trying to leave it as I have attached Java Moss to some stones, and Willow moss to the wood

Yeah mine is never right. Planning a big rescape again soon when I have enough time I think I just have too much in there want to go for a central composition with some branches that I have and I have some big mother plants that will go quite central then plant the sides out with valis need some bamboo caves for plecs as well which I need to get. But no I am never happy lol, I kind of panic that I am taking too long I guess I just need the confidence to take my time.
