A fish tank (50x27x30) 10 gallons with a heater, filter/pump, and lights cost 95 euros or $130.

Im thinking of buying this fish tank as i think it is a good bargain...am i right or wrong?

KEEP IN MIND IM LIVING IN EUROPE AND THE PRICES ARE SLIGHTLY HIGHER

Can you buy second hand where you are - in the UK there are real bargains on ebay.

What are you wanting to keep in the tank?

 - HAHA!! No what are you really going to put in?

I can see exactly what Harlequin is getting at with that question
He/She (she?) is correct in asking.

As in a 10gal out of your list...
2 angelfish - Too big
5 guppies - Fine
1 plec - Probably too big (there are only about 2 plecs suitable to 10gal)
1 dwarf gourami - Bit of a squeeze but so long as it isn't kept with any other gouramis shouldn't be too much agression to tank mates.
1 platy - Fine
3 neon tetras - I certainly wouldn't put them in a 10gal, but they may be ok. However they need to be kept in a group of 5 or more otherwise they can/will be very skittish and hide alot.
2 ruby sharks - Too Big

And even with the fish that are 'fine' you'd be overstocked.

You're looking at a FULL tank with
1 Dwarf Gourami
5 Guppies (Stick to all males)
1 Platy

To answer your original question, I haven't a clue if 85 euros is a good price in europe (I'm in the UK), but it's roughly £80 and I wouldn't expect to pay more than £40 for a full set-up (second hand) in the UK. For brand new however that is a good price. :)

Ps. Keep this on topic guys. I know what you're all thinking...but all we can do is give correct advice, any 'comments' additional to that just end up in silly little fights as you all know! Lol.

haha...the aount of fish was just a guidline...but i want those types of fish...to be honest i dont think itll be too overstocked...just overstocked...im sure itll be fine without the ruby sharks

Overstocking with additional water changes and additional filtration is fine. (See my tank, technically it is overstocked but I never miss a water change, have lots and lots of plants and a filter recommended for a tank 3x it's size)

But some of the fish you listed are physically too big for your tank.

If not given the correct conditions then they will have stunted growth, resulting in premature death and odd behaviour.
