just want to get some feedback.

i set up the aquarium tank tropical heater to 81 degrees F.

how do we really know that bettas love that temp?

i just want to make sure they are not too hot as it's not like they can jump out into another cooler tank!

thanks guys.

typically the temp in that room is about 73-75 when i wake up. and the other day when I did a water change, the temp water made the Orb a bit warmer, closer to the 80s and they seemed to really like that. it was like everyone was super happy and zooming around.

so last night as the temp increased slowly towards 81, they just became active and happy. either that or they were hysterically and crazed and wanted to get out!!!!

nah, they were all fine this morning.

I am concerned now that my little guy, Peaceful, who is in a 4 gallon biOrb, he won't have a heater and his water is about 74 degrees. In winter I know it's going to get cold!!!

I've used a Hydor Mini Aquarium Heater in small tanks. It works pretty well, but it's not adjustable, which can be a drag. (http://www.petco.com/product/14614/Hydor-Mini-Aquarium-Heater.aspx)
