tapatalk have apps for iphone(or ipod touch)/android mobiles (of which there are many)/and blackberry phones
so you don't need to get an iphone...
having said that, if you don't use your phone for internet or anything, you still wouldn't have to get a new one.... (unless you want to)

Switch to a decent skin such as IPboard pro and the forum is a breeze to use on safari.

That's the one I suggested before.
Can't see why it wouldn't work... Invision would have to make some major changes for it not to.

It's much faster, easier to read, easier to reply. Much better all round. A few bits I liked on the others like seeing last post in a section before you go in there but I can live without that.

I like it for mobile use as well, though since I am always logged on, I have to change the skin everytime I load. I like Blue justice for my laptop, but the mobile skin for my iPhone. There is a probably a way to make both skins work in the separate gadgets. It does make it load faster, however, and it is much easier on the eyes. There are also less tricky spacing for the tabs. Geez, half the time I see a message on my iPhone on Blue Justice, I accidently tap logout instead of the teeny tiny tab that shows the new message.
I think the mobile skin will fix this for me. Yes, it needs a TFF logo.

there should be an easy way of sorting that.
in the code somewhere, not used to invision so couldn't tell you exactly where, possibly in the index.php file, or possibly wherever the header is, there should be a line saying if it's a mobile device use I.P. Board Lo Fi... switching that to select aquasoft mobile should sort it. that way it's not selected as a preference, but as a default theme for a mobile device. so it should still load into midnight blue when you are on a laptop or desktop, but load into the mobile theme when viewed from a mobile device.
normally the statement to see if it's a mobile device uses screen size to determine the device (if it's under 400x300 or something as an example)
since it already has this function it seems like the best way, if it didn't then you might have had to do some useragent thing in htaccess. since it's not just switching a css file... but a quick look through the code will tell you where the line is to load lofi for mobile devices...

That one was just a quick one and not too good since I don't know what font you use so just took that part of the text from the header of the blue midnight theme. Deleted some background and made it the same size as the image from the mob theme. So edges etc may not be smooth.
