Introducing Boris

Here is a picture of my new boy Boris, well I say new, I've had him for about 6 weeks now, he's very feisty and I've just introduced 3 cory's (not sure what flavour) which he hated for the first day but is now trying to eat their algae wafers, don't know if that's normal.

It's really tricky id'ing the Cory's there are so many that all look the same!!

Congrats on the new fish, and I like the tank too.
It'll really be something once the plants grow in a bit more, (says the girl who loves jungle.)
Are the shorter plants all crypts?
Very pretty in any event, as is your fish.
I think a lot of bettas will try to eat anything - and they do, of course, benefit from a weekly pea feeding, so maybe the algae wafers are filling a nutritional need?

I would say the cories are schwartzi. Do they have spots on their sides?

The plants are crypts, but are pretty new, am hoping they fill out a little and then vallis and some swords, the cory's have already loosened the vallis twice, going to have to push it in deeper!

The cory's are speckled all over, they have a band over their eyes and a black mark starting just below their fin, running up to nearly the tip but the back of the fin is clear, if that makes any sense.

The only thing now is instead of Boris chasing them, they've started to follow him, he doesn't seem to mind too much though.

haha. sounds like the same situation as my betta, Dodger. He's actually named Dodger because after he got done chasing the new Otos in his tank, he had to start 'dodging' them.

He ate algae wafers for about a month and then quit. .... silly guy thought he was an oto for a while. If only my Oscar would stop stealing all of the algae wafers i drop into the tank for the pleco.....

anyways, he looks great. i'd like to see a full tank pic.

I was going to buy a similar log ornament to add to my tank! Instead went with a jug ornament! Still, it looks really nice in your tank.
