I have the 9W in my 125Ltr and it works fine. Water is clear but its more a play safe against disease for me.

can you tell me where i can buy the 9w in the US? i've only seen one on ebay and it costs $50. i saw a 24w one for the same price at petsmart.com, but then i'd have to buy the expensive replacement bulbs in the future.

Sounds about the right price. I paid £24 inc postage which is about $45

Do a google for them. They are all over and are made by Fish R Fun. There are also ones one ebay from Asia, but I can't vouch for them
