Well make a post and leave it a while you have an entire page of replies!!!
I like the real texture look more than any thing. I have styrofoam at the moment and its coated and has not been eaten yet and my plecs are all over it. just as they get bigger they might and also i need to do my new tank when i get it which is 5ft.
the only benifit to external ones is space saving.
