How much does it usually cost for a 4kg box of this from lfs?

i managed to buy a new box of someone for £10!

is this a good deal? :good:

Where did you get that from Chris, it's not bad salt. I use it at the moment, and have had no problems with it. TBF it's not a bad price either, can't have been one of the shops at that price!!

a 25kg bucket sells for about £45 at my LFS = £1.92 per kilo

4kg for £10 = £2.50 per kilo

bulk buying = good ;)

my lfs sells a 20kg bucket for £40, works out at £2 a kilo

but i got it for £30 with my staff discount so it worked at £1.50 a kilo

What salts are they though? Seachem reef salt is what I use and a 20kg bucket costs me £50 whereas I have seen instant ocean buckets for £40. I think also the high cost down here is due to living in Brighton. There is loads of sea water right on my door step and I can't use any of it because it will most probably kill my livestock!! Everything is more expensive down here you can buy a garage for a cool £80,000 if you have that kind of money and houses/flats well  lets say not sure if I will ever be able to get a morgage unless I move up the country or emmigrate. I hear Australia is nice and I think they need some doctors..... any takers

Regards

well the topic is about instant ocean...

personally i use reef crystals but remembered the price of instant ocean from my last visit

sorry, i didnt think the price varied that much
You work in an lfs and don't think price varies that much  Thats like saying you charge the same price for all kinds of tangs or angelfish, and we all know that doesn't happen anywhere. I have seen buckets of salt priced between £45 and £60 online, and even more than that in some shops.

we only sell big buckets of tetra and then smaller bags of instant ocean (cant remember what price they are though)
