Info about swordtails on website

It does sound like this people are making their own info on tropical fish..I don't know about the swords, but I do know that they could jump, but never imagine them hopping aroung like a kangaroo....BTW the mollies I heard people drifting them to saltwater and using them to cycle their tanks....What do you guys think???

People do use mollies to cycle their salt water tanks. I don't believe what they said on that website though...kinda crazy.

Very funny.

IMO i think that the website info is written by a young child not an adult so they arent going to know everything.

At one time I had some absolutely gorgeous sailfin mollies that I was keeping in brackish water and they were breeding like crazy! Some of the best looking and most prolific mollies I had ever kept, and I really do believe it was due to the brackish water. As an experiment, since I had read that mollies are sometimes found in actual sea-water and travel back and forth between the brackish and salt water, I slowly acclimated a few of them to my saltwater tank at the time. They lived there for several months and did just fine. Only difference I could see was that they "might" have developed a little more intense coloration...however, this could have happened in a freshwater tank also with the proper foods and conditions. :dunno:
