Thanks. That's been the best part. She's really doing wonderfully. Even when I feed the tank she stays right in that area and darts out quick for food.

OMG the Dad Ram is a butt-tard. {technical term} He is digging pits EVERYWHERE. I knew he was supposed to, but he has chosen to dig holes in the root systems of my crypt wenditii and some of the other root feeders.


This is what I was scared of. There are khulis in this tank, and I don't want them putting the babies in the pits. Will they be eaten before free swimming? grrrr.


I am going today and picking up a spare 10g. I have $5 petco cash so it'll only be about $6 and I have spare filters. Sigh 3 10g. Betta/QT/Fry

If they make it to free swimming, I can move about 90% of them. I'll want to leave some because Momma Ram is doing so wonderfully, I want her to get some good mothering practice.

The good thing is that the 46g and my 75g are very understocked so as soon as any fry are large enough, they have nice big tanks to grow out in.

Definitively wrigglers! Great! No need to feed until they are free swimming. Check the literature for how long that should take. The java moss is there to have some infusoria at hand for the quickest guys before you feed properly.

I am having so much fun! My eyes are welling up just thinking it. I went through so much crap and lost so much! Even if they disappear overnight, this was a blast!!


The daddy has dug 3 more pits, Whats he preparing for? Fish WW1?

BTW ya'll should see them now. The mom has them in a puppy pile and it's all rolley and wiggly. I'll do another vid tomorrow. I get better quaility then with photos and I'll keep them short.

Oh boy. I went and peeked and peed in my diaper. haha Metaphorically. The babies were gone!!!! Momma was gone. and The dad ram was hanging out mourning his losses.



BUT!!!!!! and a huge BUTTTTTTTTT. He was all spiney and stiff and I realized he was watching over the pit he made near my Crypt wenditii. The mom moved all the babies and dad went from the doghouse to the watch tower. How wonderful. They are really following good instincts here.
