Yeah, unfortunately many of these landscapes are hardly looking like that for most of the time. It involves some fair amount of work daily to maintain it. I prefer something more practical. Like this one for example:

If I remember correctly Mike is a young lad and his parents arnt to keen on having pressurized Co2 cylinders in the house.

There's only one thing with a planted thank I'm iffy on, what if a fish does and because of the plants you can't find it? Wouldn't it cause problems for other fish?

Most of these tanks are stocked only with small, shoaling fish. One dead one wouldn't cause very much pollution; certainly not enough to upset the balance of the tank.

thanks guys, =D i was running a yeast co2 system on my sig pic though, and lives right, im not allowed FE's, although after uni that will change (i hope), and i cant wait

I've just seen Snazy's video too.  That is one awesome tank!  Doesn't look high tech either, but awesome arrangement of wood and a huge tank with a massive school of tiny fish - I love watching them move, the behaviour is fascinating!  Wish I could have schooling fish but I have neither room for a tank of decent size nor water that they would like.
