Haha, that was the gist of what I was saying - substitute mother with owner maybe...
They are certainly interesting, I always check them out at the LFS where they kind of hang in the water and seem to observe me as much as I'm looking at them (no-one ever seems to buy one, but these are huge already) but they are not exactly a pretty fish!

They do seem to say he was fed SOLELY on kitkats (Gary is an amazing name for a fish BTW ) but from what I've read these fish need a huge amount of food, eating things like a whole head of lettuce a day. Seems like it would cost a LOT to give him the sheer amount of food he needs with only kitkats - but I guess they have a good deal more calories than raw veggies so who knows!

I would be willing to bet a substantial sum that these were not fed solely on KitKats (Agree that Gary is a great name! My male guppies are called Dave and Bob). I suspect they were probably fed a lot of junk with their normal food and it makes for a better story if it says they were fed SOLELY on Kitkats.

The thing is, the Press are known to exaggerate certain things for an eye-catching storyline aren't they? Gosh and think of all the free advertising that KK have attained through all of this LOL!

To be honest, its not something that really suprises me, not since i watched a program about a woman who lives on crisps (monster munch) and nothing more. Here Doesnt she look nice and healthy?.....(sarcasm in case any of the americans dont understand )
