In The News Today...chocoholic Fish!

Can't quite believe what I've just read - a huge 4kg gourami that has been fed it's whole life on crushed up KitKat!! Really? How on earth has it survived? And why would anyone even consider feeding chocolate to a fish in the first place? Stranger still is the fact that the people at the Sea Life centre say the fish has suffered no ill-effects from the chocolate eating.

The article says that gouramis (not sure what type it is as it looks nothing like the beautiful dwarf gouramis I used to own) usually eat a diet of fruit.

Then texted me later saying 'fat fish', i only read the text and not the picture message till i realised, was quite offendeed till then!

I'm no scientist but it cannot be very good for the gourami can it?
Why would someone even get the idea of doing this?
I really do believe that there should be stricter laws on fishkeeping.

I can't help but laugh. It makes you wonder why we bother so much with finding the perfect food for our fish when some jammy devil has managed perfectly fine with kit kats!

I imagine at some point the phrase "He seems happy enough..." has been uttered.

I love giant gouramis! I saw two in an LFS here who here only about 10 inches or so, trying to eat me through the glass, amazing

On monster fish keepers there are reports of them eating cheese, whole bananas, dinner leftovers, and one guy coming home to find his wife holding a breadstick in the tank while the GG happily chomped away on the end!
