Im Worried About Adding More Fish Shrimps Etc After All The Problems I

No worries, Angela I take it you are using API water tests - they are notoriously difficult to mix properly for the nitrAte test.
I use API for ammonia, pH and nitrIte but moved to Salifert for the nitrAtes as it's less traumatic to mix properly.
Plants actually use up ammonia and nitrAtes so will help to keep your water parameters healthy.
Hope your problem settles down and you manage to add a couple more neons to your current clan!
Now you are a dab- hand with the pictures - hope you will post some of your neons!

I will try lol and hopefully will keep improving with knowledge :) and unfortunately for you if I don't know something you'll soon know too lol

Great pics considering how fast they are! They were one of the first fish I had way back altho I don't think I knew how to look after them properly at the time.

I think we are going to buy a couple more today to up the shoaling :) I'm going to try another rabbit snail coz I really liked him he was all over the place climbing my submarine (I called him captain nemo ) and he was even very active during the day :) then will wait a few more weeks and may get 5 cherry barbs do you think they will be ok with the neons ?

When I buy new fish I always have a good inspection at the store to make sure their all healthy if there's one looking ill or off in the tank I wont buy from that tank certainly if there's not any dead ones. Your really meant to quarantine new fish for two months in a separate tank but I've never done that myself!

When you get them home make sure you float the bag for a good half hour then start adding a bit of your tank water to the bag every 10 minutes so they get use to your water and it will minimise stress.

Also I cant recommend regular water changes enough! When I first started out I didn't cycle my tank because I didn't know what I was doing but I did 50% water daily and I didn't lose one fish! Oh and don't over feed them that's the worse thing you can do.

Oh believe me I do many many water changes lol we all learn by our mistakes but unfortunately the poor fish ended up paying for mine :(
I didn't buy from a tank with dead ones in it I certainly wouldn't do that in fact I've pointed out to staff a dead fish etc but as I'm new to fish keeping didn't quarantine the new ones I bought which obviously were the carriers of the itch as  one died within a day or so of bringing them home then the whole lot got wiped out very very quickly except my little neons :) but hopefully all is well now water params all as they should be thankfully so I'm now ready to start again with some new ones to add to my heroes but I will be very very careful and follow advice given on here by knowledgeable people :)

We all make mistakes someway or another whether you are a novice or an expert. its from these mistakes that make us better owners or keepers

I cant thank this site enough and have told loads of people I know to get on here if they need any fish advice :)
