Im Pissed

i would say that if the one orange one is only slighty fatter then she aint ready yet either to drop,

the blue one is typical of a ready to drop shape for a platy.
Its obvious that you believe in using breeders so i feel comfortable to say that the blue one could go into the breeder now, some fish will drop at any time of day, if the blue one was mine she would defo be in the breeder. but keep the lights off to reduce her stress levels and add some water conditioner to the tank to destress her as well. Its so much easier with photos as sometimes pregnant fish always seem fatter to people who arent used to seeing pregnant fish and 4 weeks is a long time to us addicts that have thier faces glued to the side of the tank watching every moment. when the blue one drops keep a record of this and count 28 days after then check her again around that date and you will get used to knowing when a fish is ready to drop, observe every part of the body shape and different behaviours and in no time at all you'll be scooping up loads of fry when you expect them to be born.

gunna write out that thingwith the ABCD for you tonight so bare with me

I dont have any stress reliever or conditioner, but i do have melafix, will that work?

no melafix is an anti bacterial med.

is was a suggestion but not set in stone.

So it wont help? people told me it helps fish relax...

So it wont help at all?

maybe im wrong, i dont mind if i am, never used the stuff myself but googled it when you mentioned it

all i have right now is melafix, so i need to know if that wil lhelp.

:hyper: yeah i know your not going crazy, we all like to help our little uns

WHATTTTTTT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 your kidding me, blimey :shout:

Today when i came back from my summer job the preg escaped! Apparently i left the fish light on from feeding in morning while i was gone. With the light on, the preg fish noticed she was in the box and i guess she went crazy and jumped out of the breeder box and made it into the main tank!!! I caught her again and put her back in...this time i didnt forget to turn off the light! :good: maybe tonight the babies will come...
