Good day all.
im new to the forum but im not new to aquariums. I have had so many in the past both fresh/saltwater and brackish. I currently have several tanks up and running, all of which are cichlids. My most recent tank is a 30 gallon, african cichlid tank. I have always loved cichlids. They have always been the hardiest breed that i have experienced working with.
I rescued a large Oscar a few years back who is blind in one eye. He owns his own tank. (35g) He likes his tank unplanted and with just one peice of furniture in it (His harge ceramic vase) Anything else he tends to break or toss out. He loves to come to the top for a back rub at meal times. I have only had the new tank a short while but already the fish are use to their feeding times and race to the side of the tank when they see me coming.
What more to say for now? Im happy to be here and i hope to learn alot because i feel that no matter how long you have had tanks, you can always learn more. I also hope to help others just starting out. I normally belong to a German shepherd forum but there is only so much going on there and no one seems to own aquariums over there.
