 ok so my neon tetra is V.fat and bobbly so we toddled down to porton and bought a birthing net!!! figured this is the right thing to do as nothing smaller than a tetra would survive my hungry marble molly"Motley" or My 3" loach "Boo" only now after a little research have found out that neons are not live bearers!? and that daddy tetra needs to squirt the eggs! but i don't know how to tell which is male and which is female(we have 4 Neon Tetra) so please can anyone with relevant knowledge help me!
Also need help calculating gallonage of my tank??? tis- 2'x3'x1.5' my maths was never any good!
Also we have - 1x great long yellow snakey loach( would like to know his official
title)
2x marble molly 1m 1f
2x blue guarami
1x blood red plaity
6x guppi
6x black widow m's and f's
4x neon tetra
is this too many????

Unfortunately I'm not good at maths, but i am better at finding out fish species :D
I'm guessing your loach is probably a Dojo Loach (scroll further down to see a golden version). If not, more description on the patterns or stripes it might have would be appreciated. As for neon sexes, a female will be larger and more broader than males which are smaller and their striping is to be of a straighter line. Here's a link to a picture of both sexes: http://mike-edwardes.members.beeb.net/Pinnesi.html.

Neon tetras are one of the hardest fish to breed. good luck!

You don't need to be good at maths to work out the volume of a tank, you just need a calculator. I make it 67 gallons. In which case, your tank is not overstocked.

And chance you could get a pic of the loach for us?
