Well, I woke up today to find my betta, Pablo, still at an angle on the bottom of his tank. I hoped he was just resting, but after tapping the tank he didn't move like he usually would. I left him for a few mins hoping he'd perk up, but I returned to find him the same. I even put my hand in the tank + picked him up to see if it'd get him to move, but to no result.
I'm gonna miss you, little guy. I'd only had you for 15 months or so, but we've had some memories.
I found it strange that he had his eyes open. I'm not 100% sure why he died, but he did have a rather rounded belly and had some shrimp dissapearances. I decided to feed him less hoping it would just go down, but clearly not. His stomach was bigger this morning - this may sound silly but could he have got a shrimp and had an obsruction? I can't help but feel partially responsible for not acting quick eonugh though
Any ideas as to why he died are very welcomed.
