If you call yourself a serious fish keeper and live within driving distance of Enfield then you really must go and visit this shop, it has quite frankly the most amazing stock of tropical fish i have ever seen in one place, i went there today to pick up one fish that i have been trying to find for the last 4 years and ended up walking out nearly £100 lighter!

The shop is Wildwoods in Enfield, you can see their website at www.wildwoods.co.uk or visit the shop at Wildwoods Water Gardens Limited, Theobalds park road, Crewes hill, Enfield, Middlesex EN2 9BP.

The guy who i dealt with was really well informed and knew a hell of a lot about fish and the prices were all at respectable levels, i picked up a rainbow wolf fish for £29.95 and a spotted shovelnose catfish for £44.95 along with a few other fish and this is the first time i have ever seen either fish before despite them having been on my wish list for many years.

And if it wasn't for........................

Gald to hear that CF, I hope to visit this summer when I have room to splash out on some great fish, sounds like you got two nice fish there, I rang up when you left to see what they had in and the man mentioned the Wolf Fish so I did wonder! Now I want to see pics.

Here is some more info:

This shop should be on your list of shops to visit. You will see from their stock list that they have a fantastic selection of fish including some real rarities. Following our visit on Saturday we thought we would high light one or two of the more unusual fish they have available. These include the much talked about and ultra rare Pogonopoma obscurum . They have two of these fish in stock at a price of £95 each. Other fish of note include:-

False tigrinus
Black Celebes Halfbeaks
Aguaronichthys torosus
Peruvian Megamouth
Heros appendiculatus
Peppermint Pikehead

They also have a large variety of L Numbers including L46 which is very difficult to obtain at the moment.

They have a fantastic looking Merodontotus tigrinus which is due to come out of quarantine within the next few days.
