Ammonia is still stable at 0 (haven't seen any since adding the live rock - it seemed to be very well cured and hasn't cycled at all) and nitrates are up to about 5 now. I was going to do a water change but I had issues with the salt mix and have had to go back to square one with it so that'll be another day or two 'till it's ready. The shrimp is still in it's hidden cave but is still moving so fingers crossed..

One a good note, the clown has been getting a little more adventurous with exploring the tank and last night ate a couple of brineshrimp after I turned the powerheads back on. He didn't eat again this morning or early evening's first attempt but just ate 4 brineshrimp - and without them having to sink right in front of them! so it's looking up a bit at least!

Things are definitely looking up.. The clown seems much happier and has been eating pretty much every time for the last couple of days.

The shrimp is also starting to get more adventurous and going around the tank (a bit). When I had the powerheads off and was feeding the clown tonight, it came over and grabbed a brine shrimp which fell to the ground!

Yea its all good, nothing new to post really - am letting it get through the algae cycles before stocking up more. May get some more corals next to add some more color. I want shrimps, the missus hates em - will post up on the journal who win

Yeah, I look forward to that! I won't be going near even trying until he's been in there for a good while and is completely settled.. Don't want to scare him into hiding even more!

I think (hope) the shrimp's molted.. I just came home and found what I thought was the shrimp way away from his hole, upside down and looking very bad but I can't see it very well because it's hidden in LR. Then I just noticed the shrimp looking ok in it's hole. phew! I'm gonna shift the LR in a min and fish out the shell. I wonder when it happened and whether it's been there for a while. At least the *real* shrimp looks okay!

my shrimp molted 20mins after going into my tank!!! i think the hermits ate the shell since its disapeered!
