ID this fish please

This fish was in the South American tank along with angels and discus at the aquarium in Spring Field, MO.

They almost look twisted, like the bottom jaw broke and was forced to heal bent backwards.

The color is weird too, but I know with rainbowfish (prone to swimming into the glass) they get nerve damage and it's like it shuts the color off on part of the fish.

I'd have to wonder if that's the case here too, fish jammed into something, broke its jaw and messed with the nerves and how it portrays it's pigments.

The anal fin looks wrong unless it was torn or the image is distorting it in some fashion.

Hyphessobrycon colombianus, the Colombia tetra, in the Springfield MO morph. The head and jaw are quite deformed, and the fish looks overall battered. Not battered in a fish and chips way - it looks kind of chewed up.

It's a fish best kept in larger groups as they can be a bit nippy if kept in tiny groups or alone. They seem peaceful in large groups. They get around 6 cm, so that has to be taken into consideration.

The colours are off in that photo. It's a classic shot of a fish no one should buy. The facial deformity could be from a number of things other than simple injury, none of which can be treated, the colour is atypical...

Yes. The photo picked up blues that were not there to the eye.
