this has been on a rock since day 1

i only noticed 1 at first but now there are 2.

I, being a sw noob, have christened them "old mans todgers"

I had them at the top of the tank and a few days ago they seemed to peel.
since then they have changed to a green colour with purple little pimples.

I have moved them to the bottom incase it was the heat and brightness of the halides at the top which caused them to peel.

Last night after lights out i got the torch out and noticed that they had heads out.

Any ideas what they are?

P.s. don't mind the tank as it is algae city during my cycling.

Is that a mushroom at the back? i have a few patches of these black soft areas on different rocks.

Snake polyps.. they are nocturnal and only come out after lights out to feed

They glow a very bright flourescent green now i have sorted my actinics.

Snake Polyps? Not heard a lot about them.
