Id Shark Skin Condition

He looks a lot better! I honestly didnt think he was going to make it for a second but you really helped it pull through!

The only thing i would add is that the tank seems to kind of be clustered with decorations, i would remove a good majority of them so the two of them can swim more freely as it seems they are bumping into a lot of stuff instead of swimming about freely like ive seen some do.

Also maybe even add some white sand, i feel like it would really liven up the  tank and make it easier to clean any debree, i also think the fish would benefit from being able to dig around the sand.

Thanks, he seems to be well, I do notice he will go up to the top of the water surface a few times, not sure if he's going for air or feeling for food but he'll hang around at the top for awhile and when he's done hes ok for awhile. I should try to capture it and get your take on it.
Also, I think I notice a small hole where his original injury was. I need to get a good shot of it but the fish are hard to get to pose for the camera!
The driftwood is large but I think the previous videos are deceiving, the can swim in front an behind the driftwood, the tank is 6 feet long, and 18 inches deep. The driftwood is enjoyed by the other fish for hiding and security reason, I know driftwood is also beneficial for the water, when it's as old as it is (14years) does it still have those beneficial qualities?
Hope all is well with your fish...
Btw... I don't know if I mentioned but I was in Florida a few weeks ago, my 10 year old son caught a bonnet head shark (about 20 inches) beautiful fish, being the fish lover I am, of course we put him back in

Looking at the vid he is looking great :), with hanging around the surface its hard to tell. If he is not physically gulping for air I would say its looking for food the chances are he is looking for extra to build himself back up again. My oscar will do this when I go near the tank

Hi guys!
Hope you and your fish are well! I really can't get over how well my IDs health has been. Other than what appears to look like a small hole from where his injury originally started I can live with it and he (or she) seems to be living with it as well. Thanks for all your input, just throwing things around helps eliminate or determine what issues may be presented. I took a little video today if anyone's interested in seeing how he's doing. For anyone first reading this with issues of there own what I highly recomend and did for this fish is ask a lot of questions to anyone that will listen (or read) search the Internet and take lots of pictures or even better take videos! I thought my buddy was a gonner and I was lucky enough to stumble across this site and have good people throw possible reasons and causes around with.
Anyways, best wishes to all through the holidays and a Happy New Year!

:D Brilliant to see, but which was the sick one lol.

Seriously, that is such an amazing difference you did fantastic to get that fish well again, I thought he/she was a gonner. It just shows that sometimes fish can really surprise you. I am so pleased for you :)
