they are hard to sex at the best of time. pics from above would be needed to sex if it is big enough, which i dont think it is

feed it up nicely and give it a while longer to settle in, then get some more shots

the more i look at the last pics the more i think L066 ( i should know i have a colony of twelve of them lol )

lol oki doki. What would you suggest I feed the plec? at the moment I feed all my fish Tetra pro Premium and my catfish get their fair share but my other fish are mighty greedy sometimes. What would you recommend? Is there something I could drop it that my other fish would leave alone? I have:

4 bosemani rainbow
5 tiger barbs
2 pearl gourami
2 red thicklip gourami
2 synodontis angelicus
1 plec

they are meat eaters so hikari sinking wafers or something similar

I will buy some tomorrow, will the other fish try and eat them or ignore them as they are quite big?

the other fish will probably try to eat them as well. try feeding flake food on the surface on one side of the tank, and dropping some wafers down on the other side so the plec has a better chance of getting to them

Hi,

Last week I paid a visit to my lfs (world of water) in search of a pleco. They didn't have much in other than King tiger plec's and a type they were calling "fake zebra plec's" which didn't look anything like the real zebra ones. Anyway I bought one of these fake zebra plec's as it was £5 cheaper than the king tigers. The problem is I cannot find anything on the net which relates to fake zebra plecs or even if they exist. I have included a few pics that are not the best quality so apologies but if you could id it for me that would be fantastic.

My guess would be a king tiger or a queen arabesque or could be neither I dunno lol

body shapes wrong as well for a 066
ill say a xingu

Sorry, but don't think it's L066 because of the shape of the tail - L066 have a deeply forked tail, yet the 333 and 401 are are more squared off.
I'd look again at L333 - don't think it could be L401 either, but some pics of a side view may help confirm ID.
