Good evening all,

This is my first post so please be gentle

I have recently bought (4months ago) a Juwel Rio 125 tank with an external eheim filter. i have five gumpys, 2 angels, 2 clown loach, 2 bala silver sharks and a pleco sucker fish.

I bought the sharks, clowns and pleco on saturday. When i got home i did some research on the net and found that the sharks can grow up to 14" clowns and the pleco 10" - am i in trouble? is the tank too small?

Regards,

Alkis

your sharks will grow big so you might have a problem with them what kind of pleco do you have?

bristle nose will be fine lol these shouldnt grow much more than 4inches

thank god!

how long will it take until the sharks outgrow the tank?

im not entirely sure the live about 8-10 years so would think it would take a while for them to get really bit but they dart around alot so watch they dont jump out your tank  when they start to get big they can also eat some small fish too

Your tank is too small for the balas and clown loaches, your best option is to return them to your lfs. Although, they will be alright until they get larger then thats your time to return them or sell them to people with tanks arge enough. As the angels get bigger they may eat your guppies, maybe get some larger tetras?

Will

bristle nose plecs grow to 6" maby afew only grow to 4" but on average they get to 6". occationly more than 8" (very realy) but it still will be fine in a 125l
