i've got 3 good size tanks. a 10gal, 39gal, and a new one that i'm not sure about yet....but it's at LEAST a 20gal.

just how did i luck out?

well, my bf stopped by a garage sale one day and they were selling two 10gals, with a heater, and a background for only $3.50!!

wow, right? well, it don't stop there.....today, we stopped by a garage sale, and saw a very nice size aquarium....the one i said i don't know how many gallons it is....it had a small crack in the bottom, all the way through, which would be very cheap to fix...ANYWAY, this tank was only $5.00! an even better deal than the 10gal's. cause even if it can't be used for an aquarium, my bf wants a snake, and he can just use it as a terrarium!

and the best deal i've had so far is the 39gal.....complete with a couple filters, food, rocks, (stuff we didn't even use), albino catfish, pleco, and gourami, all for....take a deep breath and hold on to ur seats....keep in mind everything was in great condition........FREE!!!!

i've had the 39gal for a while now.....now it's got the 3 fish that came with it, 2 green sunfish, and 3 tin foil babs.

my 10 gal has one male betta, the other 10gal is at my bf's house, which is being prepared for 2 crowntails he'll be gettin soon.

and that newest tank that we got today is being prepared for a ball python.....he's so cute

i wish i had more tanks...

lol. we find very few with tanks. most with china dishes, jars and stuff like that....especially clothes. i've only passed up tanks once...and thats cuz they were over priced 5gals.

we went to garage sales again today....not too many out. but there is one moving sale on my block, that was selling a bunch of large jars....like old chex mix jars, peanut jars, cookie jars, and they were all see-through. perfect for the spawn we plan on doing in maybe a month or so. but we've only found 14 nice jars so far. i actually seen plenty of good things to keep the fry in....but i'm not the one with my money, so my bf decides what i can and can't get.

i wanna go rummage some more! but we're out of places to go for now

I got a 15 gallon and a 5 gallon tank free from my uncle, complete with hoods, background, and a heater. Went to Big Al's to buy everything else, but pretty good deal. Only about a month or so into the fish-keeping gig, but learning all I can, and learning it quickly.

well, as for the new tank, there was it's original price tag on the bottom of it, wedged between the plastic and the glass. the original price for it was $60.95.

what my bf spent on everything:
tank-$5
baby ball python-$20
20lbs of sand-$12
screened lid-$20 ish
water dish-$8 ish

and that's all that he bought. he's had a heating lamp already, and he'll buy the snake toys later. this tank is so perfect for the snake....lots of back and forth room. the tank is 36" long, 17" tall, and 12 1/2" wide. would anyone happen to know how many gallons that is? our guess was 25....but not sure.
