Livebearers are an odd one, people want credit for them and people seriously overestimate how much livebearers are worth to the shop.
Far easier to just buy in batches of 100+ guppies/platies/mollies of the same colour instead of having odds and ends of weird colours taking up tank space.
Livebearers are more prone to health problems on a system (as oposed to individual tanks) and when you are buying from certain suppliers, you know what you want to treat them for... when you start chucking on livebeaers from who knows where, its just risky...
---
I dont know about the bristlenose, if its a female, it might well be fine in that tank, the opalines will get too big, they need to be able to swim up and down a good length (dwarf gourami, honey gourami, sparkling gouramis etc are far better).
I would stick to purely male guppies and about 6-8 depending on what other fish you have in there
