Just read your Malawi journel HG.
All I can say is awesome!
I'll probably get slated for this, But I would have ditched the marine idea and kept the malawis!

Thanks mate, I did enjoy them but they were hell to keep clean and emptying the tank of rock and catching all the babies every few months was doing my head in. It did go to show that despite everyone willing something not to work it did. I used to find it particularly amusing when people listed this long scroll of things you HAD to do to get them breeding in your tank. 1 male and 1 female won't work - wrong, You can't leave the female to spit in the tank - wrong, all the fry will get eaten - wrong, not if your rockworks substantial enough to provide decent shelter, the fry have to be fed special food - wrong.
