Hi guys and gals,

I am new to the site and notice that there is a wealth of knowledge that I would like to call upon, I have come home this evening and noticed that I have a number of white dots on the back wall of my tank and around my internal filter cage, they are random and not grouped they look like a fungi but not 100% sure any ideas and what I can do to eradicate if in fact this a fungi ?

Filter cage will be asy but the back wall i am unsure, i do not want to upset the tank in anyway if possible ?

Your help would be greatly appreciated

Phil

I have three zebra snails in the tank and then a few snails that have been brought in on plants but thats it, I will post a pic shortly.

If the zebra snails are nerites, then there's your culprit. They lay white eggs over everything. The eggs can be quite hard to scrape off, particularly from things like wood. But they won't hatch - or if they do the babies won't live long. They need salt water to grow. So you don't need to worry about a population explosion.
