This is the third time in two days that my king male has jumped over into the other side of my tank. I need options! He hasn't terrorized Jarvis too much, but he has a rent in his tail. What should I do?

Can you post a picture of the current setup? Sometimes you can raise the divider a little if your substrate is deep enough, add plants along the side of the divider to limit his view of the other side/ make it more difficult to jump. Other people might have some better/other options though if they can see your current setup.

Can you run a piece of silk or plastic planting along the top to close it in?

Even if he lowered the water level, the fish could still jump out, why not just get a lid? :)

what sort of fish are you talking about?

what's a rent in his tail?

Bettas. There was a recent post about buying a king plakat betta.

A rent is just a split in his tail.
