I changed out 6 gallons in a 30 gallon plus I changed out 6 gallons early this morning also so that makes 12 gallons in all today, then I added 3 tetracycline tablets just a few minutes ago, The brand name of these are Mardel the same company that makes maracyn so I figured it would be ok to just change out some water and add the tetracycline where the company made both the products. The fish are starting to hang out at the top of the tank. I was going to let you all know the water readings. The ammonia is 0 the nitrites are 0 also the ph is 7.2 I have a test kit for the gh and kh also, I just have to test them,. I will do this soon after I get back with the camera..I am going after it now..

Well here goes, I can see the big oscars eyes now. But the little fellow isnt doing very good, His eyes look awful.My camera will not be done till monday. So I am afraid I cant take pictures until then. I am goimg to try to get my neighbors camera if she will loan it to me I will post pictures later after church, So I will ask her then.

Ok I done another water change, I took out 12 gallons of water and then I added three more pills to the water and the big oscar looks much better but a long ways from being well. As for the little one I dont hold out much hope for him. I want to save him so bad. Please help me figure out what I have done wrong.

I am happy to say one of them are better and eating now but the other one isnt I changed the medicine to the tetracycline and the big Oscar responded very well and fast to I might add. But the little fellow isnt getting well to fast, I noticed one of his eyes are clear but the other one looks worse.. Are they anything else I can doI love my fish and I dont want anything to happen to them.

You could also add some melafix alot of fishkeeprs do his to treat in and out with a bacteria infection, glad one of them is on the mend, good luck.

I am a little confused here, Today was the medicine was over. It said to give the medicine, And the fish still looks a little bad. What do I do now the fish still aint well. Should I leave them off from the medicine for a couple of days and then start it all over again?? This has the best of me I havent had a fish sick in a long time and bamb like a ton of bricks. Please tell me what to do in this matter.

Carry on with the med it takes longer sometimes, don't stop the med all he will go down hill again, good luck.

oscar in a ph of 7.2! Or is it an angelfish? If it is an oscar I would lower it to 6.0 or 6.5 they hate high p.h!

Theres nothing wrong with the pH. Its absolutely fine. If there was anything wrong with it there'd be a heck of a lot of sick oscars around.

They was starting to finally eat up until yesterday and now they are refusing food again.. And also thier color is fading again, I dont know what to do with them. Should I start doing the medicine again. I have took a flashlight and give them a close inspection and I can not find anything on them so I can rule out velvet. I dont know what else to do. I have them in melafix now. Not much better I am afraid they are not going to make it, I will try about anything at this point.
