I Need An Ultimatum

So, with either dwarf puffers or bettas, both are win of the draw?
That's unfortunate.....

I think I'll either risk a betta or a type of Boraras rasbora

Look at Betta coccina. I think I spelled that right.

Good find turtle, I'll keep them in mind :good:

I may or may not add a betta spendlens or coccina in the future, I want to first finish rescaping and then I want to establish the shrimp population

The three shrimp I put in my platy/cory tank have become fish food. Nowhere to be seen and I took everything out to check

Same thing happened in my 20 gallon, but the cherries continue to pop up out of nowhere occasionally. They might just be hiding :good:

It also appears I have 1 male and 2 female cherries in the Chi. Maybe we'll get some breeding going :hey:

Baccus brought up something interesting,

An option for the shrimp and fighter is to have the shrimp already in the tank (hopefully breeding a month or so will show any shrimplets) and then add the fighter. All of my male fighters have been added to tanks with existing cherry shrimp and they end up viewing the shrimp as part of the scenery. And I have Plakat males as well as a veil tail. Plakats can be more aggro but mine are fine with other fish and shrimp and veil tail are generally pretty mellow...well all the ones I have had have been. I also have a half moon x dragon scale but he's a bit of a dwarf freak so him being super mellow is a bit of a mute point.

This is what I did with Alpha, he was introduced after the shrimp, and never bothered any of them :good:
As I said before, when the scape is done and the shrimp established, I'll try for a betta

That's how we did it with the work Betta too - added him very last.

Good luck with the shrimp breeding!

Anybody use this before? Is it worth it?

Or is this one better?

Those look like stuff they put in for the super fussy die for no apparent reason crystal red and crystal black shrimp. The really high grade crs and CBS are really pampered butseriously its a bit of of kill for the tough as nails cherry shrimp.

Meant to say over kill, on phone and its doing its own thing.

Neither would do any harm, but with regular water changes and good food, they shouldn't be needed.
