I Need A Good Lfs

im im the middle of setting up a chichlid tank and really need to find a lfs in the southwest region of the uk that can and will sex the fish as some of the fish i would like to keep need to be kept male and females any help much appriciated thanks

tahnks for that but i have been to all but one in my area and they all say its imposible to sex the fish i just dont want to end up with a lot for fighting fish if i can find a good lfs

can and will sex the fish as some of the fish

you either buy adult Mbuna or you take what you get and you dont have a fit! <~something I tell my kids when they have a tantrumLOL
(meaning buy them as juveniles like EVERYONE else and let them grow to adulthood to tell the sex)

Just check with your local LFS to see if they will take extra males back. As I suggested in your other post, you'll want to aim for around 12 adults, so if you were to get 6-8 juvies of each species and allow them to reach a size where you can reliably sex them, you could just return the extras. Here's an article on sexing those species that aren't easy to sex by sight.

Im not sure where in the southwest you are , but have you tried cheddar garden center , they have got quite a good selection there and if you ask to see the manager he is also very good at sexing the fish.

thanks ill try there and as for taking them back all my lfs will only take back fish within 48 hours of buying them
