I know it's a pain now it's all set up etc. But I would seriously consider putting a piece of MDF the same size or slightly bigger than the base between the old cabinet and the new tank. As has been said glass is very fragile under shear , while it obviously hasn't gone, it may struggle over time under the weight of the water.

Otherwise it's a very nice tank, and plenty of scope for creative scaping.

im gonna drain it and put the mdf under asap, i have been meaning to do it scince i set it up. i put it off because we want a new sideboard for the livingroom.

i cheated with my pipes i soaked them in myaxin so they blend in with my background, dont worry they have been cleaned and boiled thuroghly.

It's interesting the way that you have mixed the sand and gravel.

My only advice is that the right side of the tank looks a bit bare.

What a transformation! Great work! You have obviously put in a great deal of effort into this project. Enjoy!!!

let this be proof to people that want to spend a small fortune on a new tanks, that with a little bit of effort ANY tank can be beautifull with a little bit of effort, thanks to everyone for their comments and help.
